HELP THE ORANG ASLI COMMUNITY

Oft-marginalised and under-represented, many Orang Asli communities live without simple and basic necessities and rights that other Malaysians enjoy and take for granted.

Orang Asli are the indigenous peoples of Peninsular Malaysia, and literally means “Natural People” in Malay.

​

Sadly, despite being natives of the Peninsular, most Orang Asli still live in rural areas, with the poverty rate amongst them as high as 76.9%.

​

Through this event, proceeds will be used to fund activities by the committee to assist with the Orang Asli community development, non-formal education of women and children, and leadership training.
